I · The Story
Alliances are temporary, betrayal is inevitable
The empire is a corpse still standing. Four crowns hold its bones together with a peace none of them believe
in, East, West, South and North, each one banner-width from war.
Banners of Kings is built on that tension: cooperate to survive the early game, then choose your moment to
break the alliance that got you there. Every card you play is a promise. Every promise is negotiable.
We built this game around one question, how long can you trust someone whose crown depends on your fall?
II · How to play
A Game of Crowns and Cunning
Each round, players muster resources, march their armies across contested ground, then
choose whether to honor or betray the alliance keeping them alive. Three phases; one
irreversible choice.
Muster
Draw resource and unit cards into your hand, building
toward the army you’ll commit next turn
March
Deploy units onto the shared board, forming or reinforcing an alliance line against a common rival.
Betray
Play a Betrayal card to break an alliance at its most costly moment or hold it and pay the trust forward.
III · THE FOUR KINGDOMS
Every crown Plays Differently
King of the West

King of the East
