What is Banners of Kings?
Banners of Kings is a strategic board game about power, trust, and timing. Players take on the role of rival rulers trying to expand their influence across a fractured realm by forming alliances, managing limited resources, and choosing the right moment to strike. Victory doesn’t come from strength alone; every decision matters, and today’s ally can become tomorrow’s enemy.

Events represent the unpredictable forces that shape the realm. From sudden betrayals to moments of fortune or disaster, these cards disrupt plans and force players to adapt. No kingdom rises without facing chaos.

Every single soldier placement can be turned into a threat, a promise, or a lie.
Units are your presence on the battlefield. Each one represents military strength and strategic pressure, enabling you to defend territory, support allies, or launch calculated attacks at the right moment.

Shape the battlefield
Control the terrain, and you control how wars are fought and who wins the battle
Terrains define the land you fight over. Each region shapes how power is gained, defended, or contested, creating natural advantages and obstacles that influence its development. Control the land, and you control the flow of the game.

Banners of Kings is created by an independent designer driven by a love for strategy games, history, and meaningful player choices.
The game is built on the belief that great strategy games aren’t just about winning, but about decisions, alliances, and consequences. Every mechanic, card, and game mode is designed to create tension at the table, moments where trust is tested, and a single move can change everything.
The project follows a hands-on, iterative approach. Prototypes are played, refined, and tested again, with a strong focus on balance, clarity, and replayability. Community feedback plays an important role in shaping the game, influencing rule adjustments, new ideas, and future expansions.
This is the strategy game I always wanted to play, and I’m inviting you to help shape it.
